Earn a Duct Tape Scholarship by getting Stuck at Prom in your creative duct tape outfit for you and your prom date. Or enjoy some Halloween fun and enter in the wacky Halloween Duct Tape Contest.

Duct Tape Scholarship 2011 Winners

The Duct Tape Scholarship is one of the wacky scholarships for college, offered by Duck Tape brand duct tape. Use duct tape to create prom outfits and accessories and enter a photograph to the online contest to win your duck tape scholarship!

Application Deadline - March to June each year

Award Amount - $5000 first place each, $3000 second place each, $2000 third place each, $500 runners up. Same prize amount is awarded to the school.


Wacky Duct Tape Scholarship Rules

Duct tape scholarship

To enter the Duct Tape Scholarship, you and your partner must be legal residents and at least 14 years old. Either opposite sex or same sex partners may participate.

You must attend a high school prom and have your photo taken before, during or after the prom in your attire made using duct tape.

Costumes must be original and will be judged based on workmanship, originality, use of color, use of accessories, and use of duct tape.

Photos of the 10 finalist couples will be posted online for online voting.

Stick or Treat Jack O Lantern Duct Tape Contest

Join in the fun at Halloween and win some money for college. Use duct tape to decorate a pumpkin, either real or fake, and enter a photograph to the online contest. Your Halloween duct tape pumpkin design must be original and unique. Must be a legal resident and at least 14 years or older. Why not turn some Halloween fun into a chance to win one of these wacky scholarships.

Application Deadline - begins September 2 and ends November 1 2011

Award Amount - $1000 first place each, $500 second place each, $250 third place each.
