Application Deadline March of each year

Award Amount $1000 per year (multiple awards)

These medical scholarships are open to US and Canadian citizens enrolled full-time and studying medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy or medical technology. Applicants in undergraduate programs must be in 3rd or 4th year of college, and nursing students must have finished one year or schooling. MD or DDS candidates must be in their second year of medical school or dental school. Pre-med students are not eligible. Preference is given to students of Christian background. Award Amount multiple awards of $1000 to $10,000

Medical Scholarships for Head Start Graduates

Application Deadline January of each year

Award Amount $1500 per year for 4 years

These medical scholarships are for students who were in the Head Start program and plan to attend a 4 year college or university, 2 year community college, or vocational/technical school and major in a medical field. AAPA Veterans’ Caucus Scholarships for Physician Assistants

Award Amount $2000 (multiple awards)

These Physician Assistant scholarships are for veterans and reserve personnel who are studying to become physician assistants. Applicants must be honorably discharged member of the US military, or active member of guard or reserve unit. These medical scholarships are for African Americans from any state who are working on an undergraduate or graduate degree in a health care field, including public health, medicine, nursing, dentistry. These health care scholarships are for undergraduate students working on a health care or medical degree field in their next to last or last year of study. Fields include pre-med, nursing, public health, physical therapy, occupational therapy, pharmacy, biology, chemistry, physiology, social work, dentistry, or optometry. United Hospice Foundation Medical Scholarship Program

These medical scholarships are offered to students from Florida, Georgia, North Carolina or South Carolina who are committed to hospice nursing, long-term care, and/or pain management. May be working toward a nursing degree, pharmacy degree, or physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy. United Health Foundation Latino Health Scholars Program

Award Amount $2500 - $5000 per year, depending on financial need

These medical scholarships provide financial assistance for Hispanic American students, both undergraduate and graduate, who are preparing for a career in the health field. Relevant majors include medicine, nursing, mental health, pharmacy, public health, allied health, and health sciences. Must be high school senior or graduates, and plan to enroll / enrolled full time in a 2 year or 4 year college, university or accredited vocational/technical school. Young Epidemiology Scholars Student Competition

Application Deadline ended in 2011

Award Amount up to $50,000 for national scholarships, $1000 for local semifinalists (120 scholarships are awarded each year)

These medical scholarships were for high school juniors and seniors who have conducted original research on a health related issue, that uses epidemiology to explore the patterns of disease, illness and injury within populations. This scholarship program ended in 2011.
